About the 8e6 Labs security blog

We created this blog to open up a channel of communication between the technology folks here at 8e6 and 8e6’s current and potential customers, as well as our colleagues in the security industry. Topics will include:

- Our observations and insights on trends and events in the security industry. We’re like any other security software organization; we keep up on the latest developments in the industry, we’re plugged into the security community and we collect or have access to some interesting data. We make our own insights based on our research and the data sets we build and we share these insights internally here at 8e6 with each other. Sometimes we make product decisions or site categorization policy decisions based on them. It makes sense to share these insights with you, and give you a chance to weigh in on them.

- Things that will help the IT admins who work with 8e6’s products get their daily jobs done. This includes best practices, explanations of features that are complicated or seem to be commonly misunderstood, and illuminating experiences that our support and engineering folks have had working with admins in the field. We’ll also include notes on new releases and features, Library and categorization changes, as well as pattern updates.
